The free Slack community for freelance writers

The Peak Freelance Slack group is a global community of freelance writers. We come together to share jobs, ask questions, and make freelance friends.

The best part? It’s totally free to join.

Need-to-knows

To keep the community high quality and spam-free, there are a few need-to-knows before we get started:

• While we love all freelancers, this is a community specifically for writer/content strategists.

• This free community differs from our All Access membership, which grants you access to our member’s portal. This portal is jam-packed with templates, workshops, courses, and monthly events to help freelance writers take their businesses to the next level.

"Joining Peak Freelance was hands down the best thing I did for my career. The ROI I’ve had since I joined in 2020 has been amazing. Being able to bounce ideas around with other freelancers is so valuable."

Community guidelines

Peak Freelance exists to help you make friends, ask questions, and promote good work. It’s not a place to land jobs fast, nor spam other members with requests to refer you for jobs, hire them, or anything else.

Discrimination of any kind won’t be tolerated. If you see discrimination, hate, abuse, or threats of any kind, please report it to Elise Dopson. We don’t hold back on this. They’ll be out of the group immediately.

No unsolicited pitches. In other words: don’t ask other members to refer/hire you unless they’ve openly stated they’re looking for someone to refer/hire.

Use threads. Help us keep the community tidy and scannable by responding to a thread (not posting it in the main channel).

If you’re sharing client-specific content (like results or problems), make sure you’ve got their permission to do so. We don’t want to get you into trouble for sharing things you’re not meant to.

⛔ We’ll remove any posts that don’t meet the guidelines. We also reserve the right to remove you from the group if you repeatedly or seriously go against our community guidelines.

The All Access membership grants you access to our member portal, which includes templates, courses, workshops, and a private community to ask questions in a safe, intimate setting.

Who is this group for?

This Slack group is for freelancers working in content. Most of our members are freelance writers, content agency owners, or strategists working with clients on a freelance basis.

When will I get my invite?

We manually review all applications for spam to join Slack to keep our community at a high standard. You’ll get an invitation via email within a few days of completing the form.
